Racing Radio Helmet kit Install - How to

Hey Guys and Gals- We get calls all the time about proper install of racing radio communications in helmets, so we thought we would put this out - Thanks Grassroots! We also do install at the shop and its free with any Sparco, Bell or Stilo helmet purchase.

Hope this helps- Shawn Sampson

  • "Shawn, just wanted to let you know that the helmet kit worked very well during the 6 Hours of Buttonwillow, I stopped by but you were out helping customers (looked like quite a few had just made the jump to in-car radio)".
  • We've got a how-to install article up on the site, check it out at:

How to Mold Custom Ear Buds for Racing Radio Communications

We are always asked the proper way to do a set of Sampson Racing Radio custom molds for racing radio communications. So, we did a 3min video (see below) to show folks the correct way we do a custom impression. If you have any questions this should help you out and is the exact way we do them here at the Sampson Racing Radio Warehouse shop and track side.

How about doing an Upgrade... One really nice thing about them is that you can take an older pair of foam tip ear buds and upgrade them to a set of customs for about 1/2 the cost! The process is the same you just need to add your current ear buds to the self impression box. In about 2 weeks, they are back in your hands, brand new and ready to go.
